By Sage Smith
Dark walnut nightstand
Who matches perfectly with the white bookshelf
The shelf which holds my dreams & fears & all
in between
The black metal desk I lay upon
Partners perfectly with the cream armoire
Which resides in the favorite corner of mine
Furniture pieces
All different knobs & shapes & colors they hold along
My distinguished set, one not like the masses
Represent the different paths I have trotted along
When I rest my head (in a bed clear white)
They sing their song
Until dusk becomes dawn
And then I arise to the world
With matching gold edged handlebars
cream white chairs & tables up to fashion
My set is a rainbow of tones
Similar to the gardens they grow
planting the seeds of perfection
While I pair a pair of dark brown khakis
to my second hand wedding veil
