Editor’s Note
Around the world, winter is regarded as the season of hardship and cold dormancy. However, winter 2023-2024 was a season of milestones and reflection for Diamond Gazette. As the Gazette passed its first New Year, we celebrated 2023 and its successes. We are incredibly grateful for the global platform we were given in 2023 so early on in our journey, and are beyond excited to continue fostering global connections and promoting cultural exchange through creative expression for years to follow.
Despite the frosty weather outside, there was no lack of warmth or passion in our Issue III submissions. A monumental submission cycle, we surpassed the amount of submissions we got for our last issue and yet again reached international writers from all six inhabited continents. While we thoroughly enjoyed reading all submissions, the arduous duty of selecting works ultimately produced 36 exceptional pieces to feature in our issue. However, whether accepted or rejected, we hope that all submitted writers recognize the value of their contributions and continue to keep the literary community thriving.
Make sure to stay tuned for the next round of submissions, and look forward to some exciting news coming soon!
Happy reading,
Chloe Chang
