Editor’s Note
Dear reader,
As a diverse youth literary magazine, we spotlight young perspectives ranging from every and any topic. For this year’s World Mental Health Day, we decided to gather a few fiction and nonfiction works into a special issue to raise awareness for youth mental health.
Mental health impacts everyone regardless of their background, culture, or country, and this collection of stories and essays proves just that. This special issue is a collaboration of numerous talented writers (and an artist!) from all over the world, a cross-cultural acknowledgement of the pivotal role mental health plays in all of our lives. Whether this issue reaches thousands of youth or just one, it’s a small step in dismantling the social stigma surrounding mental health matters.
We hope these brilliant young voices remind you that mental health is a universal human right and experience. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help, and always remember: if you are struggling, you are not alone.
