We accept:

  • Poetry and prose (fiction and creative nonfiction) from writers of all backgrounds ages 10 through 22 years.
  • Multilingual submissions must come with an accurate English translation.
  • As a platform for young writers to share their unique perspectives and experiences, we accept personal essay, opinion editorial, or article submissions discussing relevant aspects of culture from a youth standpoint. These types submissions count as creative nonfiction may be published on our “Blog” website page. We are also open to book and media reviews.

We do not accept:

  • Any violent, profane, sexual, or hateful content.
  • Scientific research essays
  • Nonfiction works without a personal or creative element
  • Fan fiction with unoriginal plotlines, names, or other
  • Plagiarized or unoriginal work

Word limits:

  • Poetry limit: 200 lines
  • Prose word limit: 6,000 words

Works must be in a readable font and size. Please double-check and make sure your work is grammatically correct and uses proper spelling.

Brief author biographies in third-person should include your name, where you are from, and optional fun facts. You may include social media handles as well, as long as all content on your page is appropriate or private.

We do not provide feedback on every submission. If you would like individual feedback, reach out to us individually via Instagram DM or email us and we will be happy to provide it for you after the judging process.

We limit 10 submissions per genre per person. If you are submitting more than one piece, submit them separately.

We can’t wait to see what you have to share! If chosen, your work may be published in our issues and/or our website or social media! Keep in mind that submitted work may be slightly edited or revised if needed for publishing purposes. Make sure to consult our FAQ page if you have questions.
